something in the works...

I don't know if I'm at liberty to talk about this yet...
So all I'll say is it's comicbook related.

Pepper Project part 2...

I was wondering if my Pepper submission ever got to the people at Imaginaryfs.com so I went to the deviant Pepper site and guess what I found?

Yup...there it was, MY PEPPER! (way on page 21...ha)
This doesn't mean it's going in the book, it just means they received it and they are sharing it, and all the other (700+) submissions with the fans.

Nice...

Or just go here:

Hope it makes it!

3 new pieces...

I painted these 3 quickies for an exhibit called "Observation With Intent". The opening was last night in Pilsen. Although I tried, the only thing that got to me was the fact that no one really kept to the 'theme'.

No big deal. There was plenty of good stuff to look at and I even met my doppleganger. I talked to him and made him see that it was better that he get a new name. One down and one to go. Ugh.

The middle one sold that night. Yay.

so close...

I was going to post this logo I am finishing up, but on second thought- its not all complete, nor ready for the public eye. So I will post an old unused concept.

jellyfish

My brother and I created this over the weekend. it's 60 inches high.

B&W drawings...

"Untitled 01"

I finally got back to my Painter 6 "dry ink" sketches.

These are really fun to do. I can do them in Photoshop but somehow, it's just not the same.
I plan to paint a series of 30-40 of these... I want to paint local graffiti artists I know and who are in the public eye (for quick recognition's sake) and have an opening somewhere to show them.

*prints will probably be a order on sight kind of thing. wish me luck.

The Pepper Project...

An artist named ARTGERM from ImaginaryFs.com are having a contest.

"Artgerm & Imaginary Friends Studios is proud to announce THE PEPPER PROJECT, the first artbook dedicated to the sexy and enigmatic muse, Pepper and her friend Wanda. The book will feature Artgerm's Pepper pieces including many never seen Pepper pieces specially created for this volume. The book will also feature some Pepper and Wanda art by some of the industry's top artists as well as Pepper pieces done by fans and friends."

So I thought to myself "I aint gotta job...I aint got nuthin better to do (i actually have tons of things i should be doing) I think I'm gonna paint something for this."

So I did.
And here it is...

I'm happy with it but, i don't think it'll get accepted.

Oh well.

The book is called "Sniper & Rook" issue #11 from Beta 3 Comics. http://www.beta3comics.com/index.html

This is page 14 of 25.

I don't know exactly when the book will be available. The publisher wants to move it up in the print schedule but they always work 2-3 issues ahead so....we'll see.
